Kathrin Angerer
Kathrin Angerer, also Kathi Angerer, (born May 22, 1970 in Oranienburg , GDR ) is a German actress who works for both the stage and the film.
Life
Kathrin Angerer initially trained as a skilled worker for writing technology from 1986 to 1988 and worked from 1988 to 1989 as a secretary at the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . In 1992 an acting training took place at the "Theater Association Nineteen Ninety".
She received her first engagement in 1993 at the Volksbühne Berlin , where she played numerous roles under the direction of Frank Castorf until 2017 and gained critical attention. In addition to Frank Castorf, Angerer worked at the Volksbühne with directors and artists such as Andreas Kriegenburg , Dimiter Gotscheff , Leander Haußmann , Sebastian Baumgarten , Jonathan Meese , Paul McCarthy and Ragnar Kjartansson .
In 2008 Angerer ended her engagement at the Volksbühne and made guest appearances at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin . In the 2011/2012 season she appeared as a guest soloist in the role of Ottilie in Im Weißen Rößl at the Komische Oper Berlin ; she had already worked there in 2008/2009. In 2013 she also played in Don Juan Comes from War ( Ödon von Horvath ), one of Luc Bondy's last productions at the Berliner Ensemble . In 2010 Angerer returned to the Volksbühne, where she was part of the permanent ensemble again from 2012. In the last years of the Castorf directorship, Kathrin Angerer's collaboration with René Pollesch received a lot of attention.
Angerer has also appeared on television and in the cinema since 1996. From 1998 to 2003 she played the supporting role Tamara in Polizeiruf 110 . In 2003 she appeared in the film Hamlet X alongside Corinna Harfouch , Ulrich Mühe , Rufus Beck , Meret Becker and many other prominent German actors. In 2006 she worked in Dominik Graf's film Der Rote Kakadu . In the multi-part series Viktor Klemperer - A Life in Germany , she embodied the role of Lore Libeskind (director: Kai Wessel ). Other film directors Angerer worked with include Christian Petzold , Dominik Graf, Isabel Kleefeld , André Erkau , Matthias Tiefenbacher and Wolfgang Murnberger . Andreas Dresen's film Gundermann , in which Angerer played the role of Irene, was awarded the German Film Prize several times in 2019 .
Kathrin Angerer's voice can also be heard in over a hundred audio productions and radio plays to date .
