Rolf Gozell

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rolf Gozell (* 1935 ; † 2008 ) was a German writer. Gozell wrote radio plays and prose. In terms of content, he dealt with classic fairy tales, especially Russian folk tales, but also with models by Ludwig Tieck , Giambattista Basile and Charles Dickens . A special feature of his fairy tales is the linguistic design, which turns the serious original fairy tales into humorous radio plays through dialogue wit and the inclusion of idioms. In 2000, he was awarded the German Children's Radio Play Prize for his play Princess Maria vom Meere .
