Friedemann Schulz (born May 17, 1945 in Timmendorfer Strand ; † September 7, 2016 ) was a German radio play and screenwriter.

Life

Friedemann Schulz wrote radio plays, some of which he directed himself. One of his early pieces is Tod in der Waschstraße, which Südwestfunk produced in 1980 under the direction of Hermann Naber . Two of his radio plays were each awarded Radio Play of the Month .

The twelfth level, a thriller about computer games, artificial intelligence and cyber worlds, offers “an insight into the state of mind of today's mid-twenties, whose future is the most uncertain”, was the jury's reasoning for the award ceremony.

From 2011 until his death, he wrote six episodes in the Radio-Tatort series about Chief Inspector Nebe for Hessischer Rundfunk .

Schulz had been a lecturer in screenwriting at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg since 1993 and lived in Neuwied .
