Raúl Semmler

Raúl Semmler (born June 6, 1984 in Jena ) is a German actor .

Life

After several years of private singing lessons, Raúl Semmler attended the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts from 2006 to 2010 and graduated with a diploma. During his training, he made guest appearances at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin and the Frankfurt Theater . Between 2010 and 2013 Semmler was engaged at the Landestheater Tübingen . In the following years he performed in Worms at the local Nibelungen Festival and the Bad Hersfeld Festival . In the 2016/17 season he was a guest at the Hamburg Operettenhaus in Thomas Brussig's musical Hinterm Horizont with songs by Udo Lindenberg .

Semmler's roles included the title character in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare , Caliban in Shakespeare's The Tempest and Hugo in Jean-Paul Sartre's drama The Dirty Hands . In Worms he was Giselher in Dieter Wedel's production of Hebbel's Nibelung “Born this way” .

In 2009 Semmler stood in front of the camera as Valentinus in Sönke Wortmann's historical drama Die Päpstin , and had guest appearances in series such as Ein Fall für Zwei or SOKO Leipzig . In addition, Semmler is extensively active as a speaker, in advertising, in image films and at readings as well as in radio plays, including commercial ones.

Raúl Semmler lives in Mannheim.
