The girl of his dreams is a German TV film by Sigi Rothemund from 2011 , based on the novel of the same name by Donna Leon . It is the seventeenth episode of the ARD crime film series Donna Leon with Uwe Kockisch as Commissario Guido Brunetti in the lead role.

Commissario Guido Brunetti's mother Amelia is dead. The film initially shows flashbacks from previous episodes and from earlier times when Brunetti was a child. But the inspector also has a new murder case that gives him some distraction in his grief. This time he has to solve the murder of a Roma girl. During the investigation, the dead girl's brother stated that he and his sister had been followed by a "tiger man". Brunetti initially believes he is looking for a phantom, but actually finds a man who fits the child's description of the boy.
