Michael Johann Rausch of Traubenberg ( Russian Михаил Михайлович Траубенберг Michael Mikhailovich Traubenberg * 1719 † December 29, 1771; jul. / 9. January  1772 greg. On Yaik ) was a Russian major general .

Life

Origin and family

Michael Johann Rausch von Traubenberg was a son of the Swedish captain Michael Heinrich von Traubenberg (1672–1746) and Margaretha Elisabeth, born von Pistohlkors from the house of Ruttigfer . He married Anna Gertrude von Delwig (1723–1749) in 1746 and his second marriage in 1750 with Johanna, née Taube von der Issen , widowed von Wrangell (1729–1799). The sons Johann (1753–1795), Russian lieutenant colonel and founder of the house of Oiso, and Georg (1755–1814), Russian major and founder of the house of Hukas, are from the second marriage

Career

Michael Johann Rausch von Traubenberg served in the Imperial Russian Army from 1733 . He took part in the Seven Years War , at the end of which he became colonel and commander of a regiment of the Trans- Kama Land Militia in 1763 . In the period that followed he held various military posts in the Orenburg area . In 1770 he was honored with the Order of St. George IV. Class and in 1771 advanced to major general. He died while trying to pacify the Jaik Cossacks in the wake of the Pugachev Uprising .
