Baltic biographical lexicon digital

The Baltic Biographical Lexicon digital (BBLD) is a biographical reference work that contains biographies of Baltic Germans .

It is a publication of the Baltic Historical Commission and is based on the standard work Deutschbaltisches Biographisches Lexikon 1710–1960 . After all biographies had been digitized and post-processed using a text recognition program , the website went online in 2012 with more than 3,600 short biographies , which can be displayed and searched in HTML or JPG format ( facsimile ).

It is planned to continue to expand the biographies in the HTML version and also biographies of Estonians , Latvians and Lithuanians mitaufzunehmen to one instead of a Baltic German lexicon Baltic build lexicon.
