Border between Romania and Ukraine
The border between the Republic of Romania and the Republic of Ukraine is a land and water border in Europe .

Of the 3069 kilometers of the entire border with Romania , 601 kilometers run in two sections to Ukraine . The political border between Romania and Ukraine runs once in the Forest Carpathians , here partly on the Tisza , in the north the Ukraine in the south Romania, and once the Kilijaarm - an estuary of the Danube into the Black Sea - borders the Ukraine in the north and in the south to Romania.
The historical regions where the border runs are the Maramures region , Bukovina , Moldova and Carpathian Ukraine ; in the south-east of Romania, south of the Kilijaarm the Dobrudscha and north of it - in the Ukraine - the Budschak region .
Sea border
The maritime border between Romania and Ukraine in the Black Sea was made binding under international law by a decision of the International Court of Justice on February 3, 2009. Previously there were disputes between the states over the whereabouts of Snake Island and the division of the Black Sea continental shelf, in which large oil and natural gas reserves are suspected.
