Valea Vișeului ( Hungarian Visóvölgy , Ukrainian Вишівська Долина Wyschiwska Dolina ) is a village in Maramureș County in northern Romania. It is part of the municipality of Bistra .

The village is south of the border with Ukraine . More than 95% of the population are Ukrainians . The Vişeu flows into the Tisza to the west of Valea Vişeului . There is an Orthodox and a Catholic church in the village.
