The Vişeu (German Wischau , Hungarian Visó ) is an approx. 70 km long left tributary of the Tisza in the Romanian Maramureş district .
course
The river has its source in the Rodna Mountains in northern Romania and flows through the following places in a north-westerly direction: Borşa , Moisei , Vişeu de Sus , Vişeu de Jos , Leordina , Petrova and Bistra . The Wischau Valley ( Valea Vișeu ) is named after the river.
In Valea Vişeului , on the border with Ukraine, it flows into the Tisza.
