Europaväg 22
The Europaväg 22 ( Swedish for, Europastraße 22 ') is a Swedish national road and a part of the European route E22 . It starts in Trelleborg and runs through Skåne , Blekinge and along the Swedish east coast to Norrköping . The route is 560 km long. 90 km of which is the motorway. The same name, E 22, is used for both the motorway and country roads.
The route forms an important national connection between Skåne, Blekinge, Öland, Småland, Östergötland and the ports in the south of the country. Since the route is very difficult to drive due to the many interruptions and the low speed limits, there have been plans for a long time to completely expand the Trelleborg-Karlskrona route into a motorway, but these have not yet been implemented.
