history
Originally Hörby was a church village. The place was important and has been growing steadily since the 1840s. In 1900 Hörby became a minority town ( köping in Swedish ).
traffic
In 1882 Hörby was connected to the Swedish rail network with the opening of the Höör – Hörby Järnväg railway line. The railway line was shut down in 1929.
