Riksväg 9 in Hammenhög | |
The Riksväg 9 is a Swedish highway. The road runs for 140 km along the south coast of Skåne from Trelleborg to Brösarp .
course
The road starts at Trelleborg ferry terminal on the E6 and E22 . From there, Riksväg 9 runs to Ystad and further in the hinterland of the Österlen region to Simrishamn . The further course leads in a north-north-westerly direction mostly near the coast via Kivik to Brösarp , where the road meets and ends at Riksväg 19 .
history
The road, which took the longer route via Borrby instead of Hammenhög until 1985 , was referred to as Riksväg 10 until 1992. With the change in street numbering at that time, the number 10 was occupied by the Europaväg 10 , so the number was changed to 9. This made the street the only Riksväg with a one-digit number.
