The Riksväg 97 is a Swedish trunk road in Norrbotten County .

The road runs from the town of Luleå , for a short distance as a motor road (Motortrafikled), on the edge of which it crosses Europaväg 4 , in a north-westerly direction first on Gammelstadsfjord and further on Lule älv over Boden , where it crosses Länsväg 356 , Harads and Vuollerim to Jokkmokk . There it meets Europaväg 45 ( Inlandsvägen ) and ends there. The length of the road is 169 km.
history
The road received its current name in 1962, but continued north to Gällivare until 1985 .
