Harad ( Lule Hárált ) is a place ( Tätort ) of communal land in the northern Swedish province County Norrbotten and the historical province of Lapland . The place has an area of ​​0.83 km² and in 2019 442 inhabitants. It is located about halfway between Luleå and Jokkmokk on Riksväg 97 in Sweden . The place achieved fame through the construction of the "Treehotel", a private hotel complex, which is characterized by various tree houses.

In Edefors there are also remains of a Swedish workers 'uprising from the canal construction from 1865. The military had to break this uprising as the first workers' uprising in Swedish history.
