Sävast is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historical province of Norrbotten . It belongs to the municipality of Boden .

Sävast is located on Riksväg 97, about 7 kilometers southeast of the city of Boden and about 25 kilometers northwest of Luleå on mostly on the left bank of the river Lule älv . The south-eastern districts are on the Sävastön river island.

In 2015, the Statistiska centralbyrån identified a residential area located roughly separately on the main arm of the Lule älv in the central part of Sävastön as an independent Småort .
