The Silnice I / 24 ( Czech for: "1st class road 24") is a Czech state road (1st class road).

The road branches off about 3 kilometers south of Veselí nad Lužnicí (Wesseli an der Lainsitz) at junction (exit) 107 from Dálnice 3 ( European route 55 ) to the south-southeast, leads via Lomnice nad Lužnicí (Lomnitz an der Lainsitz) to Třeboň ( Wittingau), joins Silnice I / 34 ( European route 551 ) over a length of around 2 kilometers , leaves it in a south-easterly direction and leads via Suchdol nad Lužnicí (Suchenthal) to the border to Austria , between Halámky and Neu-Nagelberg in the municipality of Brand-Nagelberg is exceeded. On the Austrian side, the street continues as Waldviertler Straße B2 (formerly Prager Reichsstraße).

The length of the road is almost 50 kilometers.

history

From 1940 to 1945 the street formed part of Reichsstraße 170 . The current course of the road was built on the route of the earlier Silnice II / 150 in 1998; previously the street from Mariánské Lázně to Bečov nad Teplou was number 24.
