List of motorways in the Czech Republic
This list of motorways in the Czech Republic gives an overview of the Czech motorway network. There are currently about 1,228 km of motorways ( Czech : Dálnice ). In addition, around 52 km are under construction. Once all the projects currently under construction and planning have been completed, the motorway network should have a total length of around 2,000 km.
Until December 31, 2015, the high-ranking trunk road network consisted of expressways (in Czech: Rychlostní silnice ) alongside the motorways . This separation was lifted on January 1, 2016.

Toll
Tolls apply on the Czech motorways . Car drivers have to buy a vignette . Only some sections of the motorway in the large cities are toll-free, they are marked with a green motorway sign and a crossed-out vignette.
Car vignettes (up to 3.5 tons ) are available for 10 days (D) (310 crowns ), one month (M) (440 CZK) or a calendar year / 14 months (R) (1500 CZK, as of 2014)
Motorways (Dálnice)
The planned Czech motorway network is 2,000 kilometers. 800 kilometers are currently still under construction or in the planning stage. It consists of six connections, five of which are connected to the Prague Ring ( D0 motorway ) and run from there in a star shape to the neighboring countries.
The longest motorway is the D1 , which leads to the Polish border. The D5 and D8 lead to the German border. The D3 and D11 become expressways.

Two road rings are currently planned or under construction around Prague : the inner ring, which is called Městský okruh and the Prague ring ("Pražský okruh"), which was signposted as the R1 expressway until it was reclassified and is now called "Dálnice 0" ( Autobahn D0).
