This list of highways in Bosnia and Herzegovina gives an overview of the motorway network in Bosnia and Herzegovina . This network is currently still under construction and is one of the youngest in Europe .
General
numbering
Currently, except for the A1, only the highways and motorway-like roads ( expressways ) in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina , one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are numbered consecutively.
In the Republika Srpska , the other entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the highways are simply named with their start and end point. In addition, the European road number is marked as a number. It is unclear whether the A1 will be signposted as such in the Republika Srpska or whether only the European road number will be used there too.
Due to political differences between the two entities, a uniform and consistent numbering or naming is currently not foreseeable.
