The road branches off at Horní Loděnice (Deutsch Lodenitz) around 8 kilometers northeast of Šternberk (Sternberg) in a north-northeast direction from Silnice I / 46 and runs through Bruntál (Freudenthal), where it crosses Silnice I / 11 , to Krnov (Jägerndorf) ). Here it crosses the Silnice I / 57 . In its further course it reaches the border with Poland after three kilometers , where it continues as the Polish Droga krajowa 38 to Głubczyce (Leobschütz).

The total length of the road is almost 50 kilometers.
