  • The Dálnice 48 ( Czech for "Autobahn 48") is a motorway in the Czech Republic . It branches off from the D1 at Bělotín and continues via Nový Jičín , Frýdek-Místek , Český Těšín to the Czech-Polish border. In Poland the route continues as the S52 . Until December 31, 2015 it was classified as an expressway and was named Rychlostní silnice 48 .

Although large parts of the route between Bělotín -východ and Rychaltice are already four-lane (2 lanes in each direction), these sections do not meet the routing requirements for a motorway, which is why a conversion is planned. This part is therefore designated as Silnice I / 48 . The situation is different with the Frýdek-Místek - Český Těšín section, which has structurally separate carriageways and a standard cross-section of 22.5 m. Since December 2012, the Rychaltice - Frýdek-Místek section has also had a standard cross-section of 22.5 m.
