The Silnice I / 21 ( Czech for: "1st class road 21") is a Czech state road (1st class road).
course
The road branches off in their present course at junction (exit) 128 at Nová Hospoda from highway D5 motorway ( European route E50 ) to the north and leads to Planá (Plan) and just west of Marienbad (Marianske Lazne) over. It reaches the Dálnice 6 motorway at junction (exit) 162 and leaves it again at junction 169, now also European route 49 . In its further course it bypasses Františkovy Lázně (Franzensbad) in the east, passes the junction of Silnice I / 64 and continues to the Czech-German border at Vojtanov (Voitersreuth), where the federal road 92 continues in the direction of Plauen .
The length of the road is a good 61 kilometers.
history
From 1940 to 1945 the street formed part of Reichsstraße 92 . Until 1997 the Silnice I / 21 was led from Planá (Plan) on the route of the current Silnice II / 230 via Stříbro (Mies), Stod (Staab) and Přeštice to Nepomuk , where it was at Silnice I / 20 ( European route 49 ) ended. In addition, the designation Silnice I / 64 was given for the earlier course to Aš .
