The road also forms the European route 442 to Bílý Kostel nad Nisou . It begins in Karlovy Vary (Karlový Vary) on Silnice I / 6 and, expanded to four lanes, leads past Ostrov nad Ohří (Schlackenwerth), where Silnice I / 25 branches off in the Dolní Žďár district , which leads over the Ore Mountains to Saxony further as a two-lane road in the valley of the Eger (Ohře) via Klášterec nad Ohří (Klösterle an der Eger) and Chomutov (Komotau), where the Silnice I / 7 crosses, and further, now mostly four-lane again, to Most (Brüx), Bílina (Bilin) ​​and Teplice (Teplitz), where the Silnice I / 8 is crossed. From here the road continues to Chabařovice (Karbitz) and over the junction of Silnice I / 30 in Chlumec u Chabařovic (Kulm), crosses the Dálnice 8 motorway at junction (exit) 80 and continues via Jílové u Děčína (Eulau) ) to Děčín (Tetschen), where it crosses the Elbe together with the Silnice I / 62 . The continuation of the road leads via Česká Kamenice (Bohemian Kamnitz) and Kamenický Šenov (Steinschönau) to Nový Bor (Haida), runs for five kilometers together with the Silnice I / 9 and continues via Cvikov (Zwickau in Bohemia) and Jablonné v Podještědí (German fork) to Bílý Kostel nad Nisou (Weißkirchen an der Neisse), where it meets the Silnice I / 35 and runs with it, expanded to four lanes, to Liberec (Reichenberg). Here it separates again from Silnice I / 35 and leaves Liberec in a northerly direction. It runs through Frýdlant v Čechách (Friedland in Bohemia) and ends on the border with Poland at Habartice (Ebersdorf). On the Polish side, it is continued by Droga wojewódzka 355 , which leads via Zawidów (Seidenberg) towards Zgorzelec .

The length of the road is around 218 kilometers.

history

From 1940 to 1945 the road from Most to Bílý Kostel nad Nisou formed part of Reichsstrasse 352 .
