  • The Dálnice 2 (D2) motorway was built to connect the second largest Czech city Brno with the Slovak capital Bratislava . Together with the D1 motorway , the two largest cities of the former Czechoslovakia were linked: Prague and Bratislava. The individual sections towards Slovakia were opened in 1978 and 1980. Due to the state independence, Dalnice 2 still leads to the Slovak border. From this south of Lanžhot , at the Břeclav / Brodské border crossing, the motorway leads over the March to the Slovak D 2 .
