  • The Dálnice 5 (D 5) is a Czech motorway that runs from Prague via Pilsen to the German border at Rozvadov (Roßhaupt).

At the German-Czech border crossing near Waidhaus , it turns into the federal motorway 6 ( Goldene Straße ). D 5 and A 6 are sections of the European route 50 .

On October 7, 2006, the last missing section between Prague and the German border was opened: a bridge and a tunnel near Pilsen. Since then, the D5 has been a motorway throughout; this gave Prague the first direct connection with the German motorway network .
