Jarošov nad Nežárkou , until 1923 Jarošov (German Jareschau an der Naser , also Jerischau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers northeast of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Jarošov is located at the confluence of the Kamenice and Žirovnice rivers to Nežárka in the foothills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in South Bohemia. The 592 m high Myslivna rises to the southeast.
The European route 551 runs through Jarošov. South, along the Žirovnice, runs the Jindřichův Hradec– Pelhřimov railway . Jarošov has a train station on this route outside the village in the industrial area. The narrow-gauge railway Jindřichův Hradec - Obrataň runs through the Kamenice valley in the northwest , where the Lovětín railway station is located in the forest near Hlubokodol.
Neighboring towns are Nekrasín in the north, Hostějeves and Bednárec in the northeast, Matějovec in the southeast, Kruplov in the south, Rodvínov and Horní Skrýchov in the southwest, Dolní Radouň in the west and Hlubokodol and Lovětín in the northwest.
history
Jarošov was first mentioned in a document in 1340. It is believed that the village was founded around 1184 by the Witigonen . The Waldensians who lived in Bednárec also gained influence in Jarošov, especially among the German population. In 1558 the Utraquist Thomas Reschelius ( Tomáš Rešl ) became pastor in Jarošov. He remained the only Hussite pastor. In 1558 the stately lime kiln was built.
During the Thirty Years' War, the inhabitants suffered hardship and were visited several times by the people of war migrating through. In 1780 the stone bridge over the Kamenice was built.
In 1920 the municipality of Jarošov applied for a name change to Jarošov nad Nežárkou, which was approved three years later.

The municipality Jarošov nad Nežárkou consists of the districts Hostějeves ( Hosterschlagles ), Jarošov nad Nežárkou ( Jareschau at the Naser ) Kruplov ( Krippaschlag ) Lovětín ( Lowietin ) Matějovec ( Motta blow ), Nekrasín ( Nekrasin ) Pejdlova Rosička ( Rositschka ) and Zdešov ( Sdeschow ) and the settlement of Hlubokodol and the one-layer Batkín ( Batkin ). Basic settlement units are Hostějeves, Jarošov nad Nežárkou, Lovětín, Matějovec, Nekrasín, Pejdlova Rosička and Zdešov.
The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Hostějeves, Jarošov nad Nežárkou, Lovětín, Matějovec nad Nežárkou, Nekrasín, Pejdlova Rosička and Zdešov.
