history
Záblatí was first mentioned in a document in 1358. The village was laid out around the current mill at the end of the 13th century. Based on the remains of the wall found, it can be concluded that there was a fortress or monastery at the site of the mill at that time. At that time the place belonged largely to the rule of the Zdeňek of Lhota, whose seat was on the place of the one-layer Nosek. After Lhota's death, Záblatí came to the rule of Lomnice and in 1430 was struck by the Sternbergers to Bechyně .
In 1513 Peter IV von Rosenberg acquired the village including the pond. The Záblatí estate, which the Rosenberger also acquired, must have died in the 16th century and was never mentioned again later. Peter IV. Raised the celebrations for Erb Lehn and renounced the escheat . The "Golden Canal" from the Lainsitz , built under the direction of Štěpánek Netolický since 1510, followed the old Strúha Canal to the Záblatský rybník. In 1527 the pond was given a stone tarras wall , again under Netolický . In 1533 the village consisted of 13 properties.
Between 1580 and 1582 the Záblatský rybník was enlarged to 338 hectares of water. After the Rosenbergs died out, the Schwanbergs became the owners of the place and in 1620 Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Comte de Bucquoy, followed . In 1660 Záblatí came with the rule Třeboň to the Schwarzenbergs . Until 1751 Záblatí belonged to the Bechyn district and after its dissolution to the Budweiser. After the replacement of patrimonial Záblatí became an independent municipality in 1848 and on September 25, 1850 came to the newly established district administration Jindřichův Hradec.
