Horní Němčice (German Ober Niemtschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 20 kilometers east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec . It has about 100 inhabitants.
geography
Horní Němčice is located in the Studenský potok valley in the center of Javořická vrchovina. The village lies at the foot of the Kopanina (643 m). The 759 m high Pivničky rises to the east.
Neighboring towns are Jilem and Studená in the north, Skrýchov in the northeast, Poldovka in the east, Brandlín in the southeast, Maršov in the south, Velký Jeníkov in the southwest, Horní Meziříčko in the west and Palupín and Horní Dvorce in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in 1358 as Nempezio .
School lessons began in 1830. In 1870 the place consisted of 43 houses and had 250 inhabitants. In 1911 the road connection to Brandlín was established.
