Pístina (German Pistin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic with about 200 inhabitants. It is located 13 kilometers southwest of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Pístina is located between the Nová řeka and Nežárka in a pond landscape on the western foothills of the Javořická vrchovina at the transition to the Wittingau basin .
Neighboring towns are Stráž nad Nežárkou in the north, Dolní Lhota in the northeast, Příbraz in the east, Prohanidla and Libořezy in the southeast, Mníšek in the south, Stříbřec in the southwest and Mláka and Nový Řadov in the northwest.
history
Pístina was first mentioned in a document in 1397 when it was pledged to the Lords of Neuhaus . Then the place came to their sidelines, the Lords of Stráž, who died out in 1474 with Georg / Jiřík, a son of the Oberstlandhofmeister Heinrich / Jindřich von Stráž. Then the owners took turns before Wilhelm von Rosenberg acquired the village in 1577 .
The parish was the place of the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Stráž nad Nežárkou.
