history
The village belonging to the Stráž domain was first mentioned in a document in 1359 in the books of the Prague Archbishop Ernst von Pardubitz . In 1589 the villages of Novosedly, Mláka and Kolence, which had been assigned to the fortified airport, passed to the rule of Třeboň . During the Thirty Years War in 1619 all three places were burned down. In the Austrian War of Succession in 1744 Prussian troops marched through the area, leaving behind hunger and hardship.
1930 lived in Novosedly 839 people, and in the then still independent communities Mláka and Kolence there were 238 and 388 respectively. In 1960 the villages came to Okres Jindřichův Hradec . In 1962, the municipalities of Mláka and Kolence voluntarily joined Novosedly. Novosedly had 552 inhabitants in 1996, Kolence 261 and Mláka 143.
