Ratiboř (German Rothwurst ) is a municipality with about 190 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers west of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Ratiboř is located in the Kardašořečická pahorkatina on the edge of the Wittingau basin . To the west is the large Holná pond and to the north is the Kornice forest, which is also called Svatá Barbora.
Neighboring towns are Velký Ratmírov and Děbolín in the northeast, Matná in the east, Buk in the southeast, Roseč in the south, Evženovo Údolí in the southwest, Cikar in the west and Nítovice and Mnich in the northwest.
history
Ratiboř was first mentioned in a document in 1265. It was created during the reign of the Witigonen between 1220 and 1237, when the area was colonized by the Teutonic Knights . The old Weitraer Steig led through the village from Austria to Bohemia. At the ford through the Matenský potok, the Čestův hrádek fortress was established by the Kornice forest, of which nothing has survived today. After the town of Jindřichův Hradec was founded , the old path was given a new route in 1293, which ran east of the old one via Jindřichův Hradec and no longer touched Ratiboř. In 1794 Ratiboř was repared to the newly established Roseč parish . In 1976 Ratiboř was incorporated into Hatín together with Roseč .
