Polště (German Poschen ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located seven kilometers southwest of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Polště is located in a pond landscape between the Kardašořečická pahorkatina and the western foothills of the Javořická vrchovina. To the west of the village is the Velký rybník pond and to the east is the Polom.
Neighboring towns are Buk in the northeast, Políkno and Dolní Žďár in the east, Vydří in the southeast, Plavsko in the southwest, Hatín in the west and Stajka in the northwest.
history
The village belonging to the Neuhaus lordship was first mentioned in a document in 1389. Until its extinction in the male line after the death of Joachim Ulrich von Neuhaus in 1604, the owners were the lords of Neuhaus and later the Slawata and Czernin . Until the replacement of patrimonial rule in 1848, the place remained part of the Neuhaus rule. In 1795 Polště was repared to Roseč . At that time the village consisted of 29 houses and had 242 inhabitants.
