history
Stříbřec was first mentioned in a document in 1415. The owner at that time was Čeněk Divuoček de Střiebrce. At the transition from the 15th to the 16th century, Stříbřec, whose name is derived from medieval silver construction, belonged to the Rosenbergs . In 1508 Peter IV von Rosenberg exchanged the places Stříbřec, Lutová and Chlum u Třeboně with Konrad Kraiger von Kraigk for forests and the village of Cep .
In the following years Stříbřec came to the Chlum u Třeboně rule and because of the damage in the village caused by the Nová řeka, there were repeated differences with the Třeboň rule . After the silver deposit was exhausted, iron ore was extracted and delivered to the hammers in Chlum.
