Heřmaneč (German Hermantsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 21 kilometers east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Heřmaneč is located in a side valley on the right side of the Bolíkovský potok in the center of the Javořická vrchovina and is part of the Česká Canada Nature Park . The village lies at the foot of the 662 m high Vršek, to the south-east rises the Zadní radlický vrch (668 m).
Neighboring towns are Maršov in the north, Brandlín in the northeast, Radlice in the east, Lipnice in the southeast, Valtínov in the south, Mosty in the southwest, Suchdol in the west and Olšany and Velký Jeníkov in the northwest.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1243. Until the middle of the 14th century, the village was in the hands of the local noble family von Heřmaneč and subsequently the lords of Neuhaus acquired most of Heřmaneč. Heinrich III left this share . von Neuhaus in 1392 to the Catholic hospital in Slavonice .
In 1638 Heřmaneč became part of the lands in Markvarec belonging to the Dačice manor. In 1775 the village consisted of 17 farms. In 1840 there were 217 people in the village. The population belonged to the Czech ethnic group. About half of the residents were denominationally Protestant and the Catholics formed the second large group in the village. After the abolition of patrimonial Heřmaneč became part of Olšany in 1848 and became independent in 1867. After 1950 the incorporation of Maršov, Olšany and Velký Jeníkov took place. Since 2003, the municipality has been under the supervision of the City of Dačice .
