Life

Heinrich came from the Witigon family branch of the Lords of Neuhaus . His parents were Heinrich II. Von Neuhaus and Margarete von Hals ( Markéta z Halsu ), née Landgräfin von Leuchtenberg .

On February 28, 1378 Heinrich together with his brother Heinrich d. J. ( Jindřich mladší ) donated the income from the village of Pěna to the Poor Clare Monastery in Krumlov , whose abbess was her sister Anna, for the salvation of her parents . In 1383 he acquired the Janstein / Janštýn castle and in 1389 the town of Počátky from the Counts of Hardegg . In 1391, Johann von Hardegg sold him Kozí Hrádek Castle near Tábor, which Heinrich soon left to the Lords of Sezimovo Ústí . In addition, Heinrich exchanged the Sternberg ( Štamberk ) castle near Telč for part of Slavonice .

Therefore his lands were invaded by Wenceslas supporters in 1394 and especially the city of Telč was devastated.

Individual evidence

  1. This information does not match the web link at Lemma Castle Štamberk, according to which the castle was owned by the von Neuhaus family until it was destroyed by the Hussites in 1423. On the other hand, Slavonice is said to have belonged to the von Neuhaus family from the start.
