Ponědraž (German Poniedrasch , older also Ponjadrasch ; Ponedrasch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 22 kilometers northeast of the city center of Budweis and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .

Ponědrážka is located on the left side of the Lainitz on the Golden Channel in the area of the UNESCO Třeboňsko Biosphere Reserve between the Lainsitz in the plain of the Wittingau basin . The place is surrounded by several large fish ponds, the Ponědražský rybník in the south, the Záblatský rybník in the west and the Bošilecký rybník in the northwest.

Neighboring towns are Ponědrážka in the north, Val and Vyšné in the northeast, Frahelž in the east, Klec in the southeast, Lomnice nad Lužnicí in the south, Záblatí in the southwest, Lhotský Dvůr in the west and Lhota in the northwest.
