history

Vlčetínec was founded in the 13th century. The village was first mentioned in a document in 1359. At that time the place was still called Vlčetín . The village belonged to the Kamenice domain , which was owned by the Bechyně lords. After the family died out, the Lords of Stráž followed in 1389 and then the Sternbergers . In the middle of the 16th century the Malovecs from Malovice acquired the rule.

After the Battle of the White Mountain, the goods were confiscated by Sigismund Mattheus Wenzelik von Vrchoviště, who owned the estate, and sold by Emperor Ferdinand II in 1623 to the Spanish nobleman Heinrich Paradys von Eskavie. From his inheritance, Vlčetín fell with the Černovice share to his son Martin Heinrich Paradys. After the lords of Paradys, who were notorious as subject smugglers, Jan Nádherný followed in 1799 , who sold the property to Johann Josef Rilke in 1806. In 1821 Eugen Vratislav von Mitrovice acquired the rule and Jan Kaňka followed four years later. The last owner was Johann Heinrich Freiherr von Geymüller in 1831. After patrimonial was replaced, Vlčetínec became an independent municipality in 1848.

On November 1, 2000, the place name Vlčetinec was changed to Vlčetínec.
