history

Roseč was created during the reign of the Witigonen Heinrich I von Neuhaus , which is documented for the years 1220 to 1237. He called the Teutonic Knights to Neuhaus and commissioned them to colonize the area. The village on the old Weitraer Steig was first mentioned in a document in 1367. During the rule of Joachim von Neuhaus , a new church was built in 1551, which was destroyed in the fire in 1743. The church was rebuilt and was a branch of Stráž until the end of the 18th century . Between 1791 and 1794 a renovation took place, after which the church was elevated to a parish church. The parish were the villages Políkno, Stajka, Hatín , Polště , Ratiboř and Jemčina. In 1658 the coat of arms was awarded by Ferdinand Wilhelm Slawata . At the end of the 18th century, 387 people lived in the village.

In 1976 Roseč was incorporated into Hatín together with Ratiboř . Since July 1, 1990, Roseč has formed a municipality again. Every year on July 26th, the name day of St. Anne , there is a pilgrimage.
