Henry Axel Bueck

Henry Axel Bueck (born December 12, 1830 in Bischofsburg , East Prussia , † July 4, 1916 in Berlin ) was a German politician and industrial functionary.

Life

In 1873, Henry Axel Bueck became managing director of the newly founded association to safeguard common economic interests in Rhineland and Westphalia and the north-western group of the Association of German Iron and Steel Industrialists . In 1887 he took over the management of the Central Association of German Industrialists (CDI), for which he had worked since it was founded in 1876. In 1904 he also took over the management of the headquarters of the German employers 'associations , the first umbrella organization of German employers' associations. Bueck also played a key role in the creation of the German Colonial Society . He is considered the first professional association manager in Germany and had a decisive influence on the development of the socio-political positions of German industry. Before his career as an association manager, Bueck was a large agricultural landowner.
