Florian Tennstedt
Florian Tennstedt (born September 6, 1943 in Sangerhausen ) is a German social scientist .
Life
Tennstedt studied social sciences and law at the universities in Göttingen and Marburg . He received his doctorate in Göttingen and then worked as a research assistant at the TU Braunschweig and as an academic adviser at the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University. He was appointed to the University of Kassel and was professor of social policy in the former department of social affairs. His research focus is historical social policy. He is the author of numerous publications and editor of the forty-volume collection of sources on the history of German social policy from 1867 to 1914 . Tennstedt is a member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature Mainz .
