Budeč (Czech until 1925: Buč ; German Butsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic with 230 inhabitants. It is located eleven kilometers east of Dačice in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .

geography

The Moravian village of Budeč is located on the right bank of the Budečský rybník, which is fed by the Želetavka .

Neighboring towns are Bohusoudov in the north, Knínice in the northeast, Radkovice u Budče in the east, Borová, Lomy and Chotěbudice in the south and Vesce and Horní Slatina in the west.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1251 as the property of the brothers Wernhardt and Ulrich von Budeč . The Lords of Budeč held the place until 1520 , when Jindřich Bořita von Budeč sold the place, the festivals and the Rabstein desert to Jindřich Koňařov von Vydří . In this purchase, the festival was first demonstrable.

After Marie Anna Dubská von Třebomyslice sold the property to the Louka Monastery in 1662 , the fortress was rebuilt into a baroque chateau in the second half of the 17th century. After the secularization of the monastery, Budeč was administered by the state from 1784 and five years later it was sold to Joseph Wallis, Baron von Carighmain , who added the goods to his rule, Mährisch Budwitz .

In 1788 the new Rabstein settlement was founded. In 1793 the village had 303 inhabitants. In 1812 Anton von Beck, one of the sons of the Beck inn, was born, whose son Max Wladimir von Beck became Austrian Prime Minister. In 1850 there were 527 people living in Buč.

The Barons Wallis von Carighmain owned the castle until 1925, when it passed into the possession of Countess Anna Schaffgotsch . The name of the municipality was changed from Buč to Budeč in 1925 , and in 1951 the Rabštýn district was renamed Borová. 1970 Horní Slatina was incorporated.

Community structure

The municipality of Budeč consists of the districts Budeč ( Butsch ) and Borová (until 1951: Rabštýn , German Rabstein ).
