history

Volfířov formed an independent hereditary estate to which a fortress and the Freihof belonged since the 14th century . The first news about the church comes from 1366 and from that time Volfířov was also a parish. In 1420 Ulrich V. von Neuhaus acquired the property and added the Bílkov estate to him. In 1459 the Kraigk Kraigk bought Bílkov including Volfířov. In 1551 the Reformation took hold and in 1662 the place formed a center of the Kalixtiner . In 1662 Volfířov was incorporated into the Dačice estate . In 1776 a major fire destroyed part of the village.
After the replacement of patrimonial Volfířov became an independent municipality in 1848, to which the one-shift Nové Dvory belonged.
