Báňovice (German Banowitz ) is a municipality with 110 inhabitants in Okres Jindřichův Hradec , Czech Republic . The village is located 6 km west of Jemnice at 516 m above sea level. M. and is a member of the Jemnický microregion .

history

The first written mention comes from the year 1327, when King John of Luxembourg transferred the village to the city of Jamnitz . From 1850 the village came to Datschitz . Life flourished in the 19th century and the village had 169 Czech inhabitants in 1880.
