Horní Meziříčko (German Ober Meseritschko ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 18 kilometers east of Jindřichův Hradec and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec . It has about 110 inhabitants.
geography
Horní Meziříčko is located in the Hamerský potok valley in the center of Javořická vrchovina. The village is located on the western bank of the Velkomeziříčký rybnik pond. To the north rises the 644 m high Kámen.
Neighboring towns are Palupín and Horní Dvorce in the north, Jilem in the northeast, Horní Němčice in the east, Maršov and Velký Jeníkov in the southeast, Malý Jeníkov in the southwest and Strmilov in the west.
history
Horní Meziříčko, first mentioned in 1361, was once a small aristocratic seat with a fortress and manor. In 1593 Adam II von Neuhaus acquired the rule and added it to his property in Telč . In 1850 Horní Meziříčko had 188 inhabitants.
