Rexer OÜ (in English sources Rexer Ltd. ) is an Estonian manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in Tallinn in 1992 . The development of automobiles and kit cars began. In 1996, with the receipt of the Estonian type approval for the model, regular production and sales began. The brand name is Rex .
vehicles
The first model was the Vilgas . The basis was a spaceframe. A lightweight fiberglass body was mounted on top. The engine initially came from Lada . A little later, a Ford engine with 2000 cc displacement was available. In 1996 a V-engine with 2900 cm³ displacement from Ford was used for the first time . A version with a retractable hard top was also available from 1996 . Simultaneously with the revision, the Vilgas became the Rex . Seven vehicles were built from 1997 to 1998, two of which were sold to Portugal .
The Panthera appeared in 2000 . This was a coupe . To select V6 engines were Ford and rows - six-cylinder engines from BMW .
The company itself calls the R-10 model in the versions R-101 as a coupé, R-102 with a Targa roof and R-103 as a convertible . There is also a replica of the AC Cobra as the R-12 .
