Hamr (German Hammerdorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located 13 kilometers southeast of Třeboň and belongs to the Okres Jindřichův Hradec .
geography
Hamr is located east of the Lainsitz am Koštěnický potok surrounded by large fish ponds in the area of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Třeboňsko in the plain of the Wittingau basin . To the west of Hamr lies the Pilař Lainsitz weir, which is well known by water sports enthusiasts.
Neighboring towns are Lutová in the north, Chlum u Třeboně in the northeast, Josefovo Údolí in the east, Klikov in the south and Majdalena in the northwest.
