Marche-en-Famenne is a Belgian city in the province of Luxembourg with 17,465 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019). Since the territorial reform in 1977 with the amalgamation of Belgian municipalities, there are 13 districts: the urban core town of Marche-en-Famenne (also: Marche-Center ), the villages of Aye , Champlon-Famenne , Hargimont , Hollogne , Humain , Lignières (one station on the early modern Dutch postal course to Italy), Marloie , On , Roy , Verdenne and Waha as well as the hamlet (French: Hameaux) Grimbiémont.

In Marche-en-Famenne there is a memorial stone for the Eternal Edict (1577), which bears the coat of arms of King Philip II of Spain as well as that of Luxembourg and Marche-en-Famenne.
