Martelange (German Martelingen ; Luxembourgish Maartel ) is a Belgian municipality in the Arlon arrondissement of the province of Luxembourg and forms a Belgian-Luxembourgish double village with the districts of Rombach-Martelingen and Obermartelingen in the Luxembourg municipality of Rambruch .

Border situation with Luxembourg

The national road N4 leading through the town from Brussels to Arlon forms the state border with Luxembourg over a length of 1.8 km . The street itself and the houses in the west are on Belgian territory, the houses in the east belong to the Luxembourg municipality of Rambruch . Since fuel, alcohol, tobacco and coffee are cheaper in Luxembourg, over a dozen petrol stations have sprung up along the road on the Luxembourg side, but these can only be reached via Belgian roads.
