The Île Fiorèse (formerly French Le Taureau 'The Bull' ) is a small island in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is one of the islands of Les Sept-Îles .
French scientists initially named it after the constellation Taurus . In 1999, the island was renamed after the helicopter pilot Bruno Fiorèse, who died on February 8, 1999 together with two other crew members in a helicopter crash near the Dumont-d'Urville station .
