The Klaipėda Municipality Public Library ( Lithuanian Klaipėdos miesto savivaldybės viešoji biblioteka ) is a municipal public library in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda . It belongs to the municipality of Klaipėda . The library has 75 employees, including 55 professional librarians .
history
The establishment of the public library was initiated in 1919 by the association Liaudies švietimo sąjunga . He took care of the German culture in the Memel area . In February 1920, it was decided to build a typical city library. It was founded in 1920. Since 1984 it has been headed by director Bronislava Lauciuvienė.
